RING,
I've been brain storming a lot about this and I wanted to just give you a little thought about some of the potential hurdles.
1.) Having Pulse place very high in a bracket or winning the tourney will be key b/c no one is willing to financially support a team that can't produce consistent results. Of course, it's like betting on a horse that doesn't have very high odds to win.
2.) Can you please document all of the teams that you've beat on the ladder thus far so that I may use that for good ammunition of your skills. We'll comprise their records at the time you beat them.
3.) Be prepared the sponsor will want a large precentage of the winnings. It may take thousands of dollars in travel and hotel expenses before Pulse wins any money. We may want to write in a contigency that any winnings by Pulse are returned to the sponsor until the teams winnings exceeds the "per deum" of expenses incurred by Pulse.
4.) I can negotiate with anyone in regards to the deal and create the contract negotiations and/or have friends who are attorneys review said agreements.
5.) If I'm going to negotiate I think I should be on the clan roster again b/c I'm not only the business liason' but a member who has participated in wars in this ladder.
6.) We'll eventually want a "bio" (biography) for each member including personal lives, professions, education, gaming history as well as certain map strengths and stats. We can gather a ton of data to make it pallatable for a sponser but see #7.
7.) If I'm going to represent this team in negotiations then we need the core members 110% committed. We absolutely can't have members not attending tournaments online or on site on anything otherwise. The sponsors will look at this team as if Professional Gaming is your potential career future.
We'll talk more later brother!
